Our Values
The Vision
The inspiration for LifeVac began when Arthur Lih, inventor and CEO, heard a heartbreaking story of a woman in a hospital, mourning the loss of her young son. A grape had become lodged in his windpipe, and despite attempts to save him using standard protocols, they ultimately failed.
Determined to prevent similar tragedies, Arthur set out to create a solution capable of clearing an obstructed airway.
The Solution
After a year of research and development, Arthur created the first prototype of LifeVac—an innovative, easy-to-use airway clearing device designed to provide the safest, simplest method to save an aspirating person.
LIFEVAC LAUNCHES
LifeVac became available for purchase! For the first time, families had access to a simple, safe, and effective choking rescue device, providing critical backup when standard methods fail or aren’t feasible.
TRUSTED BY FIRST RESPONDERS
The first fire and police departments began carrying LifeVacs, equipping first responders with a new tool to help save lives.
OUR FIRST SAVE
Our first save was reported! A powerful validation that LifeVac could truly make a life-or-death difference in a choking emergency.
IMPACT IN ORGANIZATIONS
We saw our first saves in professional environments, including schools, fire departments, and care facilities.
SAVES IN THE HUNDREDS
As awareness of LifeVac grew, so did the number of lives saved. For two years in a row, LifeVac saved over 100 people and became a trusted tool in more homes, businesses, and communities.
RECORD-BREAKING IMPACT
Just one year later, the number of lives saved skyrocketed. Over 1,000 lives were saved this year—a powerful testament to LifeVac’s life-saving ability.
