Life Saved #6173

On June 25th, 2026 a 9 year old girl choked on a Disney figurine resulting in a partial obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac dislodged the obstruction on its second attempt. The child's mother described the incident as follows:

“LifeVac saved my daughter tonight. She is on the spectrum. She brought her Disney doorable toys in the tub with her which she has had for months and put one in her mouth for the first time. This object is small and plastic has little arms and plastic spokes as hair. I was brushing my teeth next to her when I heard her start choking as I didn’t know she put it in her mouth. The arms and hair became stuck and even with hard back blows and Heimlich maneuver it would not come out. I was desperate and screamed for my husband to grab the LifeVac. I tried the pediatric mask first but it was a little too small for her so I immediately switched to the adult and it immediately got it out. She stayed conscious the whole time, but I do not want to know how this situation would have looked if we did not have this in our home.

Thank you for inventing this. Your product saved my child and I will be eternally grateful. Thank you so much for all your help and for your device. Like I mentioned, as a mother in such critical moments, LifeVac was paramount and the absolute reason the choking stopped. No matter how much force I put into the Heimlich or back blows as an experienced medical professional, that toy was not coming out. LifeVac saved my daughter and our family is forever grateful. I will recommend it to anyone at anytime and truly believe every home should have it. Thank you!”
