On September 23rd, 2026 a 1 year old girl choked on a leaf resulting in a partial obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac dislodged the obstruction on its second attempt. The girl's mother described the incident as follows:
“We are so thankful LifeVac exists. I was home alone with her and she was playing in the yard. I looked away for one second due to a loud unfamiliar noise. In that time she pulled apart a leaf and ingested some. I had never experienced a choking person, let alone a child. She immediately started vomiting and crying. I keep a LifeVac in her diaper bag and immediately started assembling it. She was fighting me putting it over her mouth but once I did, I used it twice and the leaf came out. She immediately started playing with the LifeVac while I tried to calm my nerves. My best friend has a 9 month old and I immediately called her and told her to order one. I know some people think the product is expensive but it is worth every penny to save a life. We are so thankful LifeVac exists.”
