On June 19th, 2025 a 3-year-old girl choked on steak. Protocol was followed. LifeVac successfully dislodged the food on its first attempt! The child’s mother described the incident as follows:
“We were having dinner when I noticed she stuck a pretty big piece of steak in her mouth. I kind of started to panic then but brushed it off and trusted that she knew how much she could handle and if it was too much, she would spit it out. Well, she didn’t. Instead, she swallowed it without chewing. I noticed her grabbing at her mouth she was turning kind of purple and drooling. I grabbed her out of her chair and started the back blows but they weren’t working. My husband ran to the room to grab the LifeVac. One pull and it luckily came out and she started breathing and crying immediately. Thank goodness! I honestly believe had I not had this device it may have been life or death.”
