On August 14th, 2026 a 2 year old girl choked on a piece of a pacifier resulting in a partial obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac dislodged the obstruction on its third attempt. The child's mother described the incident as follows:
“I was cleaning up with my small children, one and two years old, getting them ready for their nap when all the sudden I heard my daughter gasping for air. I turned around and she was throwing up and choking at the same time. I ran to her and that's when I saw that something was stuck in her throat. I began to give her the back blows but nothing was happening, so I did the abdominal thrusts and nothing happened. Then I pulled out the LifeVac and pumped it two times. She began to puke so I did it a third time and a piece of pacifier came flying out of her throat. After I got it out, she puked a little more. Then I gave her a warm bath, relaxed her, and laid her down. She didn't seem different, just afraid as I was. I am so grateful for this device. I don't know what I would have done if something happened to my child. More people need to be aware of this. It was one of the scariest experiences I've ever gone through as a mother and I am so so happy that I purchased LifeVac.
I saw it on a commercial on YouTube and when I became a mother, I said I want that in my emergency package. Thank God I did because it saved my daughter's life. She’s doing so much better now - functioning well, eating well, and sprinting around the house which she loves to do. I am so grateful for LifeVac and will always make sure to have one handy as I have 2 toddlers . It definitely gives me peace of mind. I have also told multiple friends and family members about it since. I feel so strongly about every household having one I want to make my own commercial promoting it. I couldn’t be more grateful, seriously. Thank you.”
