On April 23rd, 2026 a 1 year old boy choked on watermelon resulting in a partial obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac dislodged the obstruction on its first attempt! The childs mother described the incident as follows
“Tonight was one of my scariest nights as a mom... but it could have been much scarier. My 11 month old son choked on watermelon. I thought I cut it up small enough but he ate too much at once. He was screaming in panic – I didn't know how to help him because he couldn’t cry, I forgot everything I thought I knew. But thankfully I had bought a LifeVac and we used it. It pulled the stuck watermelon and he started breathing normally again. If this hadn't worked in the seconds it did, we would have called 911 and started emergency procedures as his breathing was very restricted. Within minutes of using it he started acting back to normal and I've never felt so much relief in my life, I'll forever be so thankful we purchased one!
