On November 27th, 2025 a 3 year old girl choked on a hair clip resulting in a partial obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac successfully dislodged the obstruction on its second attempt. The child's mother described the incident as follows:
“We were at home getting Thanksgiving meals together. She was playing with her toys and pretending to drink out of a cup that had a hair clip in it. It went down her throat and she immediately started choking! We tried giving back thrusts but she was not able to get it up. We grabbed the LifeVac and put my daughters back against me while she was standing and were able to use the device to help her get the clip out! The hair clip was the size of a sugar cube and it took us less than a minute to try and get it out, get the device together (since we had not opened it fully yet), and use it on her to get the clip dislodged! It absolutely saved her life; we thought we were going to have to call 911. Thank God for this device, I don’t know how we could ever be comfortable without it!
She is doing great; she even was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner after the incident. I tell every one of my friends to please make sure they have the device! Thank you again, we love the product and will always have it handy!”
