On December 9th, 2025, a 2-year-old boy choked on a cheese stick resulting in a total obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac successfully dislodged the obstruction on its second attempt. The child's mother described the incident as follows:
“My husband and I were unable to dislodge a piece of cheese that my almost 3-year-old was choking on. He was not able to cough or make any sound. We ended up using our LifeVac to remove it. It was definitely a very scary situation but we felt SO much better after using the LifeVac knowing it was a smart purchase. My husband is prior military and has a fair amount of first aid training and was unable to dislodge the piece. We are so grateful for our LifeVac and could not be happier with how effective and easy it is to use in an emergency situation.”
