On June 13th, 2026 a 3 year old boy choked on a strawberry resulting in a partial obstruction. Protocol was followed. LifeVac dislodged the obstruction on its first attempt! The child's father described the incident as follows:
He was standing next to the couch eating strawberries out of his little snack container and my wife noticed him hunched over and faintly coughing. She grabbed him and ran him to me and I began hitting his back and squeezing his stomach. She grabbed the LifeVac from the cabinet and I laid him down. She put it on his mouth and I held it down to seal it to his mouth; she pulled it and the strawberry came out. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation we have for who invented the LifeVac. It saved our 3 year old son. Thank you.
